Club links use a query such as https://vardywatch.com/clubs/?club=arsenal. Every club with a completed or scheduled fixture in the current season is included. Every credited goal stays with the club represented in that fixture, including goals by departed players. Penalties count; own goals do not. Tied goal totals share a rank and skip subsequent places (1, 1, 3), with alphabetical ties. Active streaks require at least two consecutive completed club fixtures with a credited goal within the season, through the club's latest completed fixture. A fixture without a credited goal ends the run, even if the player did not appear. Active does not establish current squad membership. [Scoring-streak methodology](https://vardywatch.com/blog/methodology.md) --- Source: https://vardywatch.com/blog/methodology.md # How scoring streaks are counted A run counts consecutive completed Premier League club fixtures in which a player scores at least one credited goal. Penalties count; own goals do not. When an in-progress match is present in the latest exports, dashboard and club goal totals and streaks include it provisionally. Live goals can extend or provisionally end a run before full time, and overturned goals or final results can change those statistics on the next refresh. Live fixtures are labelled LIVE (provisional) and are not counted as completed fixtures. Recently ended streaks and weekly preview evidence use completed matches only. Refreshes are twice daily, not continuous live updates. A club fixture without a credited goal for that player ends the run, even if the player did not appear. The exports do not provide appearance or lineup information. In-season runs reset between seasons and on club changes. Active in-season streaks require at least two consecutive completed club fixtures and include the club's latest completed fixture. Active describes the club's results, not current squad membership. Cross-season runs may continue across season boundaries for the same club; a club change or completed fixture without a credited goal ends them. Jamie Vardy's benchmark is 11 games in 2015/16. Eleven matches equals that mark; twelve beats it. Future fixtures are opportunities, not predicted goals: later milestones depend on scoring in every intervening club fixture. ## How are club scorers ranked? The [club directory](https://vardywatch.com/clubs/index.md) covers every club with a completed or scheduled fixture in the current season. Leaderboards count every credited goal, including multiple goals in one match, for the club represented in that fixture. Goals by departed players remain; prior-season goals are excluded. Tied totals share a rank and skip subsequent places (1, 1, 3), with alphabetical ties. ## What do season bests and recently ended runs show? This season's bests show each player's longest ended run of at least two matches, excluding ongoing runs. Repeated tied bests retain every run's dates. Recently Ended Streaks lists qualifying runs that ended in completed matches with UTC kickoff during the 168 hours ending at the data's generatedAt timestamp, including both endpoints. This window changes when data is regenerated, not as the page ages. ## What does a player's fixture view include? Selecting a player or streak opens all available Premier League club fixtures for each represented club-season, not just appearances or the selected run. Credited-goal fixtures are green, completed fixtures without a credited goal grey, and scheduled fixtures white, with text labels alongside the colours. Grey does not establish whether the player appeared; scheduled matches have no player goal count. Last goal and next scheduled game appear with the season totals. Tied and multi-club runs retain separate club-season lists. The archive begins in January 2020, so 2019/20 is partial and excluded from historical season-leader comparisons. COVID-delayed fixtures through 26 July 2020 belong to 2019/20; other season boundaries follow July through June. The synthetic Jamie Vardy 2015/16 benchmark shows his eleven-game run rather than a full archived season. ## How fresh are the statistics and previews? The interactive [dashboard](https://vardywatch.com/index.md) and club pages load [published statistics](https://vardywatch.com/data/current-season.json) using JavaScript. The data's generatedAt timestamp records calculation time, not when upstream match data was fetched. Fixture changes require refreshed exports and regenerated statistics. Markdown pages and collected LLM content explain the site; they do not embed live statistics. Blog cover Thursday 09:00 through Monday end in Europe/London. Players need an active run of at least two club fixtures and a fixture in that window. No previews are scheduled in June or July. Articles are AI-assisted and reviewed by a human editor. Drafts are scheduled for Thursday 09:00 Pacific/Auckland; the fixture coverage window remains in Europe/London. Drafting requires verified fetches no more than twelve hours old for the current Auckland month and any later preview months. Earlier current-season months retain their original fetch timestamps and are checked for integrity, not claimed to be freshly fetched. Historical corrections require a replacement source snapshot. The editor's merge authorizes publication of the captured Thursday evidence, even if reviewed later. Published previews show the evidence as-of time separately from their publication time; they are not live results updates. The source-data cutoff measures the oldest required live-month fetch, not when the article or statistics were generated. Unresolved past fixtures, modified evidence, or mismatched draft previews block publication. --- Source: https://vardywatch.com/quiz/2026-10-25-cbe87675a74dc6bc.md # Premier League football quiz 10 questions, four choices each. He needs four more scoring games to equal it and five to beat it. His latest goal came in City's 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on 24 October. Before that he scored twice against Ipswich Town and once against Liverpool, while his run began with two goals at Crystal Palace. ## Is Arsenal away the game that equals the record? Haaland's path begins at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on 31 October, which would be his eighth straight scoring game. Nottingham Forest away on 7 November would make nine, and Fulham at home on 21 November would make ten. Arsenal away on 29 November would be the eleventh, which would equal Vardy, but only if he scores in all four fixtures before it. Leeds United at home on 2 December would then be the twelfth and the record-breaking game, subject to a goal in the Arsenal match too. ## Can Evanilson build on three straight? Evanilson is next on three Bournemouth fixtures with one goal in each, against Chelsea, Sunderland and Manchester United. His season total is also three, so every goal he has scored this season has come in the current run. He needs nine more fixtures to reach twelve, starting with Leeds United at home on 31 October for a fourth. Coventry City at home on 19 December would be the eleventh, and Tottenham Hotspur away on 26 December the twelfth, provided he scores in every game in between. ## How far can Isak stretch a two-game run? Alexander Isak has scored in two straight Liverpool fixtures, away at Brentford and at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, with one goal in each. He has six goals this season, so four came before the run began. He needs ten more fixtures. Arsenal at home on 1 November would be the third, Hull City away on 26 December the eleventh, and Aston Villa away on 30 December the twelfth, but only with a goal in every game in between. ## What about Tavernier's run? Matt Tavernier is also on two straight Bournemouth games, with goals against Sunderland and Manchester United. He has five goals this season, and his run began after goalless games against Liverpool and Chelsea. He also needs ten more fixtures, and his path begins with the same Leeds United home game on 31 October. Tottenham Hotspur away on 26 December would be the eleventh, and Crystal Palace away on 30 December the twelfth, again only if he scores in every game before them. --- Source: https://vardywatch.com/blog/2026-10-29-early-preview.md 2026/27 EARLY PREVIEW # Six on the board. Two more steps to take? E. Haaland leads the recorded chase with goals in six consecutive Manchester City club fixtures, but Brighton & Hove Albion cannot yet be billed as his next step towards eight. First comes the trip to Aston Villa on Saturday 24 October. Score there and the run reaches seven; score again when City host Brighton on Saturday 31 October at 15:00 and eight comes into view. Fail to score against Villa and the six-game sequence ends before this preview window even opens. The existing run has taken in Crystal Palace, Coventry City, Manchester United, Sunderland, Liverpool and Ipswich Town. That is the foundation already recorded, not permission to count the next two fixtures as goals. Jamie Vardy's benchmark remains 11 consecutive scoring games from 2015/16. Even the best-case eight would leave Haaland three scoring fixtures short of drawing level, with a twelfth required to move beyond the record. ## Can Mbeumo carry the spark to Chelsea? B. Mbeumo's recorded run stands at two after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United. Manchester United's home fixture against Bournemouth on Sunday 25 October decides whether that sequence travels to Chelsea intact. A goal against Bournemouth would make it three; another away to Chelsea on Saturday 31 October at 12:30 would make it four. Chelsea is the only United fixture listed inside this edition's five-day window. There is a useful distinction between a streak gathering momentum and a record challenge taking shape. Four would be progress worth watching, but Vardy's 11 would remain a distant marker rather than the immediate story. ## The same gate, a different direction Evanilson also has two consecutive scoring club fixtures recorded, against Chelsea and Sunderland. His next hurdle is the other side of that Manchester United-Bournemouth meeting on 25 October. Both Mbeumo and Evanilson can extend their individual runs in the same match; neither player's progression requires his team to win. The measure is a credited goal, not the result. If Evanilson scores at United, Bournemouth's home game against Leeds United on Saturday 31 October at 15:00 becomes an opportunity to reach four. Without that intervening goal, the existing two-game run cannot be carried forward into the Leeds preview. ## Can Rudoni keep the climb moving? J. Rudoni completes the current watchlist after scoring in Coventry City's fixtures against Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur. Coventry host Fulham on Saturday 24 October before entertaining Sunderland a week later. The Sunderland fixture, listed for 15:00 on Saturday 31 October, offers a route to four only if Rudoni first scores against Fulham. As with the other shorter runs, the next milestone matters more than dressing two games up as an imminent assault on 11. ## Earn Thursday's billing first All four players have one listed fixture inside the game week, each on Saturday 31 October. None has a second in-window opportunity to add another step before Monday ends. This is an early watchlist, not a settled Thursday leaderboard: intervening results can remove these runs, change their lengths or bring different players into contention. The final edition needs fresh evidence before any of those conditional routes can become its starting point.
